Do you regularly attend church? Do you talk daily to God through prayers? Are you actively preaching the Gospel? If yes, then you are reflecting Christianity through your actions. But let me ask you, how genuine are these habits? Do you practice these habits out of a sincere commitment to being a disciple of Jesus or just to be called a Christian? In his younger years, Tom considers himself a “POP Christian”. One who calls himself a Christian but is very sketchy, superstitious, has a lot of bad habits, and is not a good influence on others. But a death-defying injury and the death of a close friend opened his eyes and impacted his beliefs on what genuine faith truly is.
In this week’s episode of People of Purpose, Tanur interviews his friend and mentor, Tom Wilcox. Tom, an author and follower of Jesus, spends his time learning, growing, and teaching Christians and those curious about faith and what it means to be a mature disciple of Jesus. They will talk about Tom’s journey into becoming a genuine Christian and discipleship.
