People of Purpose

Connecting people to their unique human experience through Purpose.

Oct 19, 2017

Today's guest is Julia Starr - A self-described feminist wellness warrior from the Iron Range of Minnesota. Julia has traveled around the world as a student, teacher, business strategy consultant and farmer. It's tough to put a single label on this fireball, but she would describe herself as a feminist wellness warrior.
The most common threads in her story are doing what you'd least expect, and doing it well. Whether leaving her small town upbringing to attend Claremont McKenna College in California, throwing herself into the competitive world of business strategy consulting as an International Relations major, or leaving a six-figure job to apprentice with her grandfather, she's become a jill of all trades.
Her overarching life purpose is empowering young women to know themselves and their abilities authentically, in order to correct the balance of masculine and feminine energies globally. Her current endeavor, Starr Health Co. is a coaching and wellness platform that provides services to young women seeking support and guidance.
Her grand vision? Create a virtual wellness offering targeted at young women that will be available to schools and employers around the world - combatting the shocking rise of anxiety, depression and mental health disorders in this demographic.
